    Tasting - Askerne, Hawkes Bay

    John last presented to the Club in February 2019 and his presentation was a delight, both because of his delivery and the wines themselves. This month’s tasting promises to be equally compelling as we get the chance to taste the following wines:

    • 2022 Askerne Sérieux Rosé
    • 2020 Askerne Sémillon
    • 2022 Askerne Reserve Chardonnay
    • 2021 Askerne Gewürztraminer
    • Askerne Merlot Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon
    • 2021 Askerne Cabernet Franc
    • 2019 Askerne Late Harvest Sémillon 

    This selection of Hawkes Bay wines promises a lot and I’m sure we will not be disappointed by their taste or quality. Make sure you are there to find out which will be your favourite.

Member prize draw

The members’ prize draw takes place at each meeting, but you must be present to win. We also have a raffle draw to be won. Purchase your tickets at the door and be in to win.

Drinking and driving

Members will be aware of the lowering of drink/drive limits from December 2014. If you are unsure, refer to the Land Transport Act 1998. We ask members to be conscious of these limits. For those driving, water and some food are provided. Alternatively, consider designating a driver, using a taxi, Uber, or dial-a-driver to ensure a safe ride home.

Wine bottle screw caps

The club is collecting wine bottle screw caps to donate to the Lions in support of Kidney Kids NZ. No food lids or beer tops, please. Save and bring them to the next monthly meeting.
