Presenter: Odessa Clayton – Booster Wine Group
Booster Wine Group are agents for Waimea in the Wellington region. Odessa will represent this Group at the tasting. Established on the Waimea Plains in 1993 by the toil and triumph of two generations of the Bolitho Family – Waimea Estates is one of Nelson’s larger producers with over 140 hectares of their own vineyards. While the Bolitho’s sold the business 2017 Waimea’s wines continue to be approachable and offer a breadth of flavours – perfect for pairing with fresh local produce.Waimea’s export varieties are based on highly awarded Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, and over the years Waimea has gathered 150+ Gold Medals and 26 Trophies across nine different wine styles – proving the versatility Waimea and the Nelson region provides.

Member prize draw
The members’ prize draw takes place at each meeting, but you must be present to win. We also have a raffle draw to be won. Purchase your tickets at the door and be in to win.
Drinking and driving
Members will be aware of the lowering of drink/drive limits from December 2014. If you are unsure, refer to the Land Transport Act 1998. We ask members to be conscious of these limits. For those driving, water and some food are provided. Alternatively, consider designating a driver, using a taxi, Uber, or dial-a-driver to ensure a safe ride home.
Wine bottle screw caps
The club is collecting wine bottle screw caps to donate to the Lions in support of Kidney Kids NZ. No food lids or beer tops, please. Save and bring them to the next monthly meeting.
