    Tasting - Western Australian Wines

    Eurovintage is the agent for 3 Western Australian Wineries Sandalford, Xanadu and Mosswood.  Keith wants to demonstrate that Western Australia is more than the Margaret River.  Wines presented include:

    • 2018 Pegasus Bay Sauvignon Semillon
    • 2019 Xanadu Exmoor Chardonnay
    • 2018 Xanadu Reserve Chardonnay
    • 2018 Sandalford Margaret River Shiraz
    • 2018 Xanadu DJL Shiraz
    • 2017 Sandalford Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
    • 2017 Moss Wood Ribbon Vale Cabernet Sauvignon

    In 2020, it (Western Australia) represented just two per cent of the national (Australian) wine production but has previously occupied up to 20 per cent of the nation’s fine wines – Wine-Searcher 2021.

Member prize draw

The members’ prize draw takes place at each meeting, but you must be present to win. We also have a raffle draw to be won. Purchase your tickets at the door and be in to win.

Drinking and driving

Members will be aware of the lowering of drink/drive limits from December 2014. If you are unsure, refer to the Land Transport Act 1998. We ask members to be conscious of these limits. For those driving, water and some food are provided. Alternatively, consider designating a driver, using a taxi, Uber, or dial-a-driver to ensure a safe ride home.

Wine bottle screw caps

The club is collecting wine bottle screw caps to donate to the Lions in support of Kidney Kids NZ. No food lids or beer tops, please. Save and bring them to the next monthly meeting.
